Know This, That Every Soul is Free is hymn #240 in the LDS hymnbook.

Text: Anon., ca. 1805, Boston. Included in the first LDS hymnbook, 1835.

Our arrangement (©2008 CC) includes:

SATB for organ or piano, the same SATB found in the current LDS hymnbook. Choir or congregation members singing the SATB parts can use the regular LDS hymnbook.

Enhanced piano accompaniment which can be used alone, or with the organ SATB as a piano/organ duet accompaniment for congregational singing.

Instrumental countermelody which could be used on some verses.

In this sample, you will hear SATB vocals and piano on the intro and all four verses.  The instrumental countermelody, played by a flute, joins in after the intro and plays on all four verses.  We would suggest saving it for just the third and fourth verses.  Suggested musical instruments for our countermelodies include flute, violin, oboe, cello and organ.
