$1.00 USD

As I Search the Holy Scriptures is hymn #277 in the LDS hymnbook.

Text and music: C. Marianne Johnson Fisher, b. 1932

Our arrangement (©2014 CC) includes:

SATB for organ or piano, the same SATB found in the current LDS hymnbook.  Those singing SATB parts can use the regular hymnbook.

Enhanced piano accompaniment which can be used alone, or with the organ SATB as a piano/organ duet accompaniment for congregational singing.

Vocal countermelody which could be used on some or all verses.

In this sample, the SATB intro, played by an organ, encompasses the entire piece.  In the next verse, the enhanced piano accompaniment is added.  In the second sample verse, the vocal countermelody comes in partway through.  It could be sung by a soloist, small group, choir or played on a musical instrument.
