In this sample, we first hear the organ alone playing the SATB intro.  The enhanced piano accompaniment and voices singing melody  join in for the first sample verse.  Voices singing the vocal countermelody are added on the second sample verse.  The vocal countermelody could be sung by a soloist, small group or choir – or played by a musical instrument.
