A Mighty Fortress is hymn #68 in the LDS hymnbook.

Text: Martin Luther, 1483-1546, adapted

Music: Attr. to Martin Luther

Our arrangement (©2015 CC) includes:

SATB for organ, piano or voices, the same SATB found in the current LDS hymnbook.  Choir or congregation members who are singing the SATB parts can use the regular hymnbook.

Enhanced piano accompaniment which can be used alone, or with the organ SATB as a piano/organ duet accompaniment for congregational singing.

Instrumental countermelody which could be used on some verses.

In this sample, we hear just the organ playing the SATB intro.  The enhanced piano accompaniment joins in for the first sample verse, and the instrumental countermelody, played by a flute, joins in on the second.  Suggested musical instruments for our countermelodies include flute, violin, oboe, cello and various organ sounds.
